Any ideas? Hi Lawrence, I'll give you a list of possible problems to check, but I'm not sure what realy the problem could be since you don't give enough info about the configuration of Kppp... When the pppd deamon dies it could be due to: * Your connection sequence with your ISP isn't complete. Try to run Kppp manually - debug mode - with the terminal on so you can see what's happening. This will also help you put the right script together. * You don't have the correct path to the pppd deamon. Check this in Kppp. * You have stuff in /etc/ppp/options. This is most of the time the reason in Red Hat to kill the pppd deamon prematurely. Check the "options" file with a text editor and delete the entry you might find there. Most of the time it says "lock". * Does your ISP require a PAP authentication? Win 95 defaults to PAP, so most users don't even know they're using it. * Don't modify pppd arguments in Kppp if you don't know what you're doing. Zoki.
