Got Earthquake??
Yes, and an aftershock 4.5 about two hours go. No damage that I am aware. :^)
According the the ruler in Google Earth, you're 115 miles from Mount Carmel, IL. Given the much greater propagation of seismic waves in the mid-continent, I'm sure you felt those temblors just fine! Are you ready for the next New Madrid quake?? You're only 275 miles from New Madrid, MO. Interestingly enough, all three of those cities (Plainfield, Mount Carmel, New Madrid) are virtually colinear. I can't wait to find out if my parents in southern Wisconsin felt this morning's rumble. Or, more to the point, if it woke them.
