This also depends on the quality of the driver. I have run my Diamond Viper 770 in 32bit/1280X1024 with no issues. But because the human eye can not really see much of a difference over 16bit..I keep it at 16bit. Also, games like Quake3, SofF and Tribes2 tend to run better at this res. Unless you are doing very fine graphics in Gimp or something 16bit/24bit at 1600X1200 or lower should rock. I don't know how good your card actually is..so I can't say much more. Oh one more hint..check the settings for your monitor. Make sure the Horizontal/Vertical synchs are correct for your monitor. If they are to low and sax2 doesn't think your monitor can handle them then you may have issues. Check www.monitorworld.com for the settings of about 99% of the monitors out there.
