I'm installing 10.3 over nfs+ssh, and when I start up yast for the first time, it fails with "file ./^D/content not found".
Just a quick follow-up - this problem was almost certainly caused by my using a DVD image I had built using the ISO deltas. Maybe I didn't verify the checksum. I downloaded a new complete image, and the installation went fine. To those who might have been wondering what I meant by "installing over nfs+ssh", it's a lot less complicated than it sounds. My local servers are in a different building/datacentre, so when I do an installation, I virtually always 1) install over nfs and 2) run YaST over ssh. To do this, these are the kernel arguments: boot: usessh=1 sshpassword=blah install=nfs://server/dir That's all - boot the installation system, then go back to your desk, ssh -X to the new system, and run YaST from there. /Per Jessen, Zürich -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
