Hello folks,
I need to increase the text size of the install screens on a fresh Leap 15 install. Laptop is a new HP Spectre 360 which I bought for my partner. The installation screens have extremely small text because of the very high monitor resolution. I've searched Google high and low (OS forums, documentation, etc.,etc) and can't find the answer. Various opensuse documentation say to hit F3 or other Function keys at the Grub2 boot screen before the installation starts, but that produces absolutely no effect. I ran a Leap 15 KDE live USB and pretty much everything works nicely and I can adjust the screen text size on the desktop. Since I have serious vision problems, having very small text size on the installation screens is a very big problem for me. Any help is appreciated, Gustav..
I believe that it's 3, not F3, that you need to type at the GRUB screen. Or C to get a command line. But I'm not an expert at such things. Have you read this page? https://doc.opensuse.org/documentation/leap/reference/html/book.opensuse.ref erence/cha.grub2.html
See the section about GRUB_GFXMODE.
gumb No, that brings you into a non graphic ( old runlevel 3 ) system.
