No, (we) dont want Xgl. I am trying to get the same performance on my Vostro 1700 without Xgl. Xgl works great, but I cant run any of my other OpenGL stuff. So I would like to use plain nVidia drivers and Compiz, but the performance is weird. It will rotate the cube at lightning speed and then just "hickup" for about 2 sec, same for Alt-Tab. I can see Xorg going to 100% and then relaxing again. Can this be an issue with the AIGLX impl in the nvidia driver?
