VMware & SuSE 9.1 : 2.6.4-52-default

Cant seem to see my CDrom with 9.1 and VMware Looking through google and various places, I see issues with VMWare & 9.1 with the 2.6.4-52-default kernel, Does anyone have a work around to get the cdrom to be accessed? its odd, I cant even use an .iso file..
