RESOLVED I not only had to add the website to the exception list I had to disable TLS 1.1 and 1.2. Again, I know that is bad security practice. That is why I have this whole thing in a dedicated VM. All,
I need to run a web application that requires the Java Plug-in and I'm being blocked by the security setting. I need to set it down to "low" security.
I know that is not smart to override in general, but in this case I've created VM specifically to run this one tool. If the tool breaks out of the Java sandbox it will be stuck in a VM with nothing of value in it.
So now that I've done that, how to I lower the Java Security setting to "low"?

No luck yet. I think I need to set the security to "low" or something similar.
== Environment: -- Leap 42.1 Firefox Oracle Java 8.update 73 The plugin is installed and working per https://www.java.com/verify
