Not much help but none of the 15.3 isos works here on either of my Lenovo laptops including the Net version which is my preferred option for installation. On 30/01/2022 19:53, George H. Griffin wrote:
Hello All:
I have been trying to upgrade from Leap 15.2 to 15.3 but have not been able to get the 15.3 ISO(s) to boot on a variety of machines: a Dell Inspiron 15 5000 series, an Asus M4A89 GTD pro MB with an AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1100T Processor and 16 GB RAM, and an old Toshiba laptop. All of these machines are happily running Leap 15.2, the desktop with the Asus MB and the Toshiba since 15.2 came on line and many versions preceding it.
The 15.3 image was downloaded today: openSUSE-Leap-15.3-2-DVD-aarch64-Build24.5-Media.iso
I have verified the checksum of the downloaded ISO which I've burned to 3 different USB sticks, 2 of them brand new, with Image Writer, and a DVD burned with with K3B. On the Dell I get the following message: "Selected boot device failed. Press any key to reboot the system." On the other two machines all I get is a flashing bar in the upper left hand corner of the display.
Since I started this project I've tested all three machines with old Leap 15.1 & 15.2 USB images and they've all booted without a problem.
I've not tried using the network image yet because in my situation the ISO will be easier if I can get it to work, and it should work and I'd like to find out why it doesn't, at least for me.
Any help, or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, George
