I'd be grateful for suggestions.... I'm using SuSE 5.3, and I've installed Real Audio Player Linux (gold) ver 5.0 (5.0.0.45) and it works .... some of the time..... e.g. If I access the file: <A HREF="http://www.wrn.org/audio/1130l.ram</A">http://www.wrn.org/audio/1130l.ram</A> .....from a server in London, UK, it plays fine. But the *identical* file played from a server in Johannesburg, South Africa: <A HREF="http://www.channelafrica.org/ra/1130l.ram</A">http://www.channelafrica.org/ra/1130l.ram</A> ....will NOT play (I get the title, author text etc but no audio) In fact I can't seem to play any audio-only files. This suggested to me a problem with the Real Audio server in in Johannesburg, and yet a video/audio file: <A HREF="http://www.channelafrica.org/ra/video.ram</A">http://www.channelafrica.org/ra/video.ram</A> (accessed from <A HREF="http://www.channelafrica.org/ra/video.shtml</A">http://www.channelafrica.org/ra/video.shtml</A>) ....from the same server also plays fine! Has anyone had similar problems? I can find no info on the Real Audio site.... (BTW I have NO similar problems using RA Player ver 5 in Windows98/NT) Richard King Johannesburg - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
