I just realized, I do NOT have an OO problem. I have a KMAIL problem...
I overlooked (how could I?) that the files with the questionmarks are files received by E-mail. They contain the 'æøå' characters and are 'Saved As' using Kmail. On the actual disk, when one lists the directory contents with 'ls -l', the national specific characters have already been replaced by questionmarks. Kmail did so or rather - caused it to happen.
No wonder OO refuses to open them.
So, OO *will* open them if you *escape* the questionmarks? ie: soffice /path/to/file/A_file_with_\?\?\?.odt -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
