I rebooted, reconnected bot cables, no difference. IMO this is a software problem, something changed in the last update, not a hardware issue.
What drive? There are two, and they are needed and working (one is one of the homes).
There is no hub, they are both directly connected.
Hint: lsusb gives the info you seek about what device is connected where. Best used as double: "lsusb |LANG=C sort; lsusb -t"
