I tried to install nvidia legacy driver. I downloaded legacy (96.43.14) from nvidia website, then installed as usual. After restart X crashes during start. All logs are under links (nopaste site). Then I found in google, that "nopat" option added to kernel boot line might help. And it helped, X starts fine. What this option does? And why was necessary to add it to kernel line? Is it possible to fix suse kernel to make installing nvidia-legacy driver (even from repo) easily & smooth? nvidia-bug-report → http://wklej.org/id/239658/ Xorg.0.log → http://wklej.org/id/239654/ -- Pozdrawiam / Best regards, Mariusz Fik, openSUSE Community Member
