It's an Asus P5A-B with an Aladdin V chipset. My video card is an ATI Rage Fury 32MB.
I failed to notice which version of SuSE Linux you are using. If it's 6.3, install the kernel for special EIDE chipsets, it's got the support for the Aladin M5. And please set PnP OS to no in BIOS. This is for OSs like Windows 9X that like to do it all on their own. For Linux it's better to let the BIOS allocate appropriate resources (mainly IRQs). As for AGP, you're kind of lucky, as only the glx drivers for ATI and Matrox can take advantage of AGP. Nvidia seems to once again play the game of NDA.
