Thanks for the previous help on installing ppp. I ended up doing a complete re-install and using kppp.
Anyway, I have another question. I downloaded all the updates for KDE from the suse ftp site, but am having trouble installing them. I have tried everything from kpackage, xrpm and rpm. I even tried yast's update thingy but I couldn't get it to recognise the directory where I had the updates. I figured (rightly or wrongly) that the Yast update tool only works for whole distributions and not just to say update KDE. Is this right? Well, I had problems getting it installed myself, but with help from the group I got it going. I had to uninstall KDE. I used YaST to do it (delete packages) and then install. (install packages) Install QT first
then (if I'm not wrong) the libs, main and the others.
