I am trying to connect to an HP 8100 network printer. I have tried using lpnrg and now cups. I can get neither to work. Within Yast I have defined the printer with every possible setting and have yet to get anything to print. I send the print job, it gives me the job ID and nothing from that point. lpstat lists the printer as accepting jobs, lpq lists nothing in the queue. But, the print jobs never makes it to the printer. The printer is defined in /etc/hosts as follows: 10.250.200.31 2nd-it3-8100 I can ping 2nd-it3-8100 I can telnet 2nd-it3-8100 9100 What else could be wrong? Any help is gresatly appreciated. Also, does HP's jetdirect software still exist and if so will it work on SuSE 8.0? Thanks, Chuck
