I hate to laugh, but ha,ha,ha. (Hey, it's Friday night) :-) I've done this myself, and had to reinstall all the C related files. Just go into Yast and reinstall all the Development packages, and C header files that you can find. Only a few of the elite linux masters have sucessfully put glibc2 into a suse5.3 system. Some claim success, but find out later that some glitch has occurred.
