Oops. It's gstreamer that's the problem here. Adding some extra gstreamer modules pulled in some non-ulb-gnome sources (pm, for starters), and I'm off to the races. Also, I did this with synaptic pulled from the same place as apt. Niiiiice. Woohoo! Now my ULB-Gnome system seems to be firing on all 8 cylinders! Highest regards, James, dk
