I experimented the same problem. I found that 3D works if, before installing the new driver, you remove manually the old module /usr/src/kernel-modules/fglrx/fglrx.ko. I do not know why, it is not replaced during installation. However I could not set my monitor resolution to native resolution: 1280x800. With the previous driver release I could. Francesco

Hi,
I'm experimenting somewhat with the ATI propriety driver (fglrx). Does someone know (or have) where I can find the documentation for the supported options in xorg.conf? I want to configure the thingy myself...
Regards Harry
Hello,
I support this demand, I was able with SuSE 9.2 and the previous release to get, my HP ZD8000 laptop with a 1440x900 screen, working. I'm unable with the new release. While using fglrxconfig, it works but not with my screen resolution. So, no 3D, no TVout. The previous release doesn't compile with kernel-2.6.11.
Regards.
Michel
Hello, If interested, I tell you that I was able to get 3D at 1440x900 on my ZD8000. TV out is working, clone display with CRT is working. I installed the previous driver which was working well and modified it in order to support the new kernel ! Everything is OK : 2300 fps with glxgears and 400 with fgl_glxgears. Ready to share trhe experience. Michel.
