It involves some kernel compilation, but is quite painless to do.
As long as you have an internet connection next to your SuSE box to download the updated packages :-) I would have thought that including software that actually worked with the distribution would have been a priority. My opinion of SuSE as a distribution is going slowly downhill... Will.
