upgraded 12.2/x86 to 12.3/x86 via zypper dup - still inside 12.2 reboot command nor shutdown nor acpi-event (inside virtualbox) didn't succeed tried to upgrade (zypper dup) in my virtualbox some 12.2 test machine with default opensuse repos to 12.3. first of all, zypper in zypper or similar commands to first upgrade the zypper stack did create a huge mess of dependencies which i couldn't make sense of even manually, this and that requiring to ditch all kinds of other stuff eventually still needing that and so on. so i needed to directly go for zypper dup after a while it completed and i wanted to shutdown/reboot this machine but it didnt really progress anywhere. i waited for 15minutes and even the acpi power event command of virtualbox didn't gave me any success. so i needed to create the reset command from the virtualbox. when the 12.3 came up afterwards it complained about some disk checks but continued. worth of bug report? anyone else having this? any real manual and instructions on the official ways and best practices on zypper dup, prerequisites and so on? whole machine is default single-disk in virtualbox, and i think single partition in addition to swap but nothing else. i could provide a bit more details if needed. thanks. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
