recently I received a HP Pavilion DV6 laptop.
It's too old.
This is an AMD A-6 4400 APU. Radeon HD 7520G Graphics. I do not think this is a very good answer.
I completely agree!
🫥Thanks for your support.
SCSI 1:0:0:0 is the CD/DVD drive here. Why is ata2 being detached and disabled when unsuspending? Can you tell me what to look more deeply at as to why this may be happening on the machine?
You've got a hardware issue.
The only way is to replace the cd/dvd drive, I guess?
Why do you say this? The drive works correctly before the machine is suspended.
One thing you could try is a prior kernel: <http://download.opensuse.org/history/20240730/tumbleweed/repo/oss/x86_64/kernel-default-6.9.9-1.1.x86_64.rpm>
I have actually tried booting the machine from that prior kernel which is also installed. I did not seem to have success with this method though.
