I have a Canon A70 which I've tried to get connected for several weeks. I manage to connect it to digikam and gtkam (via the PTP driver in gphoto) but every time I click on an image to try to do something with it, the program crashes.
I had a similar problem with an A60 and the PTP driver. I now use a newer cvs version of gphoto2, which has dedicated drivers for the A60 & A70, and I can download images fine.
<snip> I downloaded:
libgphoto2-2.1.2.tar.gz gphoto2-2.1.2.tar.gz
I'm using: gphoto2 2.1.2dev9 gcc, popt, exif, cdk, aa, jpeg, readline libgphoto2 2.1.2dev13 gcc, EXIF, no ltdl, /proc/meminfo libgphoto2_port 0.5.1 gcc, USB, serial resmgr locking, no ltdl do you want the rpms? ttfn nik
