Oh, and what about Nvidia? I recall a few issues with zypper dup and Nvidia. Are those fixed?
The first update kernel lp151.28.4.1 for 15.1 users of NVidia hardware with either FOSS DDX was foobar. It was 18 days before lp151.28.7.1 fixed it. Takashi went on vacation right before problem was reported.
I read this and updated to 15.1. Got kernel-default-4.12.14-lp151.28.7.1.x86_64. Installed the G05 drivers (430.26-lp151.14.1) for my 1050Ti. Rebooted. Black screen.
Which combination of kernel and nVidia driver is expected to work, preferrably with plasma desktop?
And if I get a black screen again, and - as usual - no errors in /var/log/Xorg.0.log, where else can I look?
Regards, Werner -- Some have reported they need the G04 driver instead of the G05......
