Might be time to go to the KDE mailing lists or forums, but first I need to install debug symbols, and this is an opensuse thing. So how *do* I Install them?

In yast software management you can check some boxes to show debug packages. Then search for baloo5. But doing that does not show anything that looks right. I don't think there are any package for baloo debug symbols available right now. This page: https://www.kde.org/announcements/kde-frameworks-5.27.0.php suggests Baloo developers already know about this issue already. (Those guys are really hard to get ahold of). My current 4.22 installation shows that we are using KDE Frameworks 5.26.0 so perhaps when/if Opensuse updates the KDE packages to kde-frameworks-5.27.0 this issue may be fixed. You may want to exclude docx documents temporarily so you can get through an index session. You can set this in baloofilerc Point of reference: I do have a few docx files and I don't have trouble indexing them. But I only have maybe a couple dozen. If they are strictly YOUR documents, another approach might be to open them all with LibreOffice and save them in odt format so that they get indexed. (while still leaving the filter for docx in place). -- After all is said and done, more is said than done. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
