It appears I'm not the only one to notice this is broken: http://www.ocsmag.com/2017/07/25/krunner-when-minimalism-goes-wrong/ "After I spent ninety minutes trying out all the previous functions, and adjusting other settings in KDE, such as the default applications listed in *System Settings > Applications*, I conclude that the latest version cannot open man pages, switch between desktops and Activities, spell-check, or enter special characters." Why is this sort of nonsense happening? Why do developers assume people want dumbed down stuff? I mentioned this in another message about Wireshark. Another example is the pfsense user forum. They recently changed servers, to comply with the new privacy regs. However, the new site is nowhere near as useful as before and, as another mentioned, seems to be designed for a 14 year old girl! Why are intelligent, technically minded individuals now treated like mindless idiots, for whom pretty pictures are more important than useful function? </rant> On 05/27/2018 02:39 PM, James Knott wrote:
Once again, pressing Alt-F2 and then entering #<command> does not bring up the man page. This was a very useful feature, that hasn't worked for some time. Any chance of getting it back?
When I try to get a man page, at the bottom of the list of things that can be opened, there's a line that says "Locations: Go to man:/", but clicking on it opens Seamonkey.
