With x2goserver version 4.0.1.6, kde, xfce sessions work again under 12.3. You can find the old versions here: https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/home:beyerle:x2go
Does the old version also work on 13.2?
I think somebody should fill out a bug report...

I'm not sure if this is related to openSUSE 13.2 only. I have several 12.3 systems and since the last update to x2goserver 4.0.1.18 (4 days ago), x2go stopped working. As you have mentioned below, xterm works, but kde, xfce fails.
I'm now trying to role back to x2goserver 4.0.1.6.

I had a number of machines running xfce remotely via x2go. Since the upgrade to OSS 13.2, that has stopped working.
x2go sessions are configured on the clients (primarily windows clients) to launch custom desktop /usr/bin/xfce4-session.
After upgrading to OSS 132, the sessions appears to start, and then terminates without ever painting the desktop or presenting anything. It "appears" to start because the client notifies that a "new session has been established". The same happens with GNOME and KDE sessions.
I am able to start xterm via x2go just fine. Then, if I execute xfce4-session or startxfce in the xterm, I can see the xfce desktop load, except that each window and application seems to be loaded into a separate desktop and none of the windows can be given focus or typed into.
Is anyone able to successfully use x2go on oss132 with xfce? It all worked fine with prior oss versions, I am going to try a downgrade of one of the test machines and see if it starts working again.
