Suse 9.1: Microphone doesn't work

Hi. With Suse 9.1 on a pentium 4 pc and kernel 2.6.5-7.104-default, I am having trouble getting my mike to work (krecorder, skype). I am using SB Audigy 2 (configured in yast2), and it works well under Win XP on the same pc. The speakers work fine in Linux too. I turned up the mike volume in kmix. Blank screen under kmix input.
