I tried to install awesome window manager on my system, Zypper says the package doesn't exist and YaST doesn't know about "awesome" either. So, I added the following repository to my repo-list: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/windowmanagers/openSUSE_12.1/
Still, no awesome :-(
do you go to download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/windowmanagers/openSUSE_12.1/
and look if it exists?

Does a package exist at all, or have I to compile it myself?
to look for existance of a package: software.opensuse.org/search
s/b "First Step[tm]"
now you know.
Patrick, Often I prefer to look in build.opensuse.org and see if its even there. The search in the upper right corner of that page works really well. In this case, it looks like there are about 17 different versions on OBS. (Many are likely copies of each other.) One of which is the X11 version, but it currently is not building: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?package=awesome&project=X11%3Awindowmanagers Greg -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
