Just installed openSUSE 11.1 on my Asus R2Hv and I'm having issues with my gfx card (see lspci below). If I use the "i810" driver I get this error:
(EE) No devices detected.
Fatal server error: no screens found
But if I use the "intel" driver I get this other error:
Couldn't find PLL settings for mode!
I was about to install 11.1 on my R2Hv, but then saw your message and stopped. I downloaded a LiveCD and tried that, and experienced the same 'intel' error as you report.
Have you had any luck in getting the system up and running?
Likely few will get a live 11.1 CD to work on Intel. A fix checkin soon for https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=463288 should make it easier to get up a normal install without manual intervention to xorg.conf.
