I have: Screen Saver: prefer blanking: yes allow exposures: yes timeout: 600 cycle: 600
DPMS (Energy Star): Standby: 300 Suspend: 400 Off: 500 DPMS is Enabled Monitor is On
And the screen blanks automagically after about 5 minutes or immediately if I tell it to from command-line (1 second delay).
What command do you use to blank from the command line? Forgot that one:-) 600 should give you 10 minute (60 * 10) time out, so with 5 minute delay it sounds like you have something else going on here.
5 minutes is "feels like", never measured and time is acceptable so I really don't care :). I usually blank the screen from the cl anyway. sleep 1;xset dpms force off You can assign the cl to a hotkey sequence or make it an alias cmd or a script or call the script from a hotkey or .... I also set xset params in my login profile -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
