If I try to use XSane, a message tells me it can't find a device.
Have you configured it in YaST?
Ran the configurator. Result:

The printer is now working, thanks to a kind member of the OpenSuse Forum, but the scanner still does not work. (Not found by YAST.) Any ideas gratefully appreciated!

If all else fails, you might try VueScan https://www.hamrick.com It's not exactly cheap, but if it's a choice between paying for the software and not having a scanner, then... It has a free trial so you can try before you buy. Payam. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
