The issue is the GUI / Splash / X Window system never comes up. I have

installed the latest 7167 drivers, made a few changes to the XFree86 config files (mostly to do with keyboard settings). All to no avail.

I am looking at solutions. Here are some option / questions. What does the list think I should try and in what order???

Upgrade to 9.3. Since I don't think this does anything to either the NVIDIA drivers or the XFree86 config files I doubt this would be much of a solution. Comments?

Hey John, Which NVidia card are you using? I would also like to take a look at your X logs, If possible? JD
