Hi
I am thinking about getting myself Internet at home(still very expensive here in Africa) by using a 3G USB modem. Has anyone here ever used 3G/ HSDPA cards on Linux before?
Yes . I used one manufactured by "sierra wireless" and supported by the "sierra" kernel module. Gotcha: Networkmanager 0.6.x is brain-damaged for this use-case, do not even attempt to , will end in frustration, this is apparently fixed in 0.7.x. -- "Progress is possible only if we train ourselves to think about programs without thinking of them as pieces of executable code.” - Edsger W.
