[SLE] YAST RPM

Hi! Got a problem installing the Yast RPM for Suse 6.3. I downloaded the Yast RPM from the suse website and when I tried to install it I received the following message. "Failed on file /var/adm/mount. cpio: chown failed Read only file system. What's going on? Anybody know? Help is appreciated.
