I was thinking of a very simple case that I use where rather than making a snapshot per se, I simply mirror a couple of LVs of my 1T drive onto a smaller drive. Hmm, I could, and I need to experiment with this, "soft" mirror onto a USB stick. Hmmm, LV snapshot, maybe. Hmm. Need to look into this. Hmmmm.
