Sigh, yet another rant post with open/suse troubles giving me the creeps with such basic stuff as booting. And again with upgrading stuff.
simple 15.1 zypper dup-ed to 15.2. reboot. grub_file_filters not found error message. going nowhere.
looking around on the web it is literally everywhere, claiming some too new grub 2.04 or something is incompatible with files/config from earlier 2.02 or so on non-uefi systems?
what the heck? can we please do better with opensuse development? thanks.
how do I fix this dang thing from that emergency prompt of grub in bootup stage?
I have a bunch of 15.2 installations that zypper dup has worked flawlessly for, until now. This one was last upgaded 24 Feb. Today's upgrade when selecting the 15.2 installation to boot produced nothing but GRUB, from which CAD fails to reboot: http://fm.no-ip.com/Tmp/SUSE/Leap/bootinfoscriptresults-gx320-s152upgradeFeb... -- Evolution as taught in public schools is religion, not science.
