If you had an iphone you would probably already know this so I assumed you are still shopping. Get android instead. Better phone, more open. No antenna problems.
Well... its a version 3 iphone. On my 11.2 box, it is not mounted anywhere, certainly not under /media (here I run fvwm) I just installed an 11.3 laptop - set it to use LXDE to start with. In LXDE, plugging in the iPhone caused a popup which offered me to "open" the device in the filemanager (among other things). Doing so showed me an empty Photos directory - even though I have two photos in there. Any recommendations on how to mount that thing on the CLI? (Yes, someday I'll switch to an Android...)
