After hearing some good reports about kde4, I'd decided to give it a try here on my 10.3 system. I added the kde4 repo and installed a good selection of kde4 software. I logged out of my kde3 session only to find that there is no option on gdm to start a kde4 session. So, how does a mere mortal try out kde4? Are you sure you are using gdm as opposed to kdm? If yes, I cannot help you. If no, then switch sessions and choose new seesion. Look in
