Hi everyone, I'm a new, infrequent skype user. I installed it about two weeks ago and it seemed to work OK. I set up an account and tried the test call, etc. Yesterday, when I actually *needed* to use it, it wouldn't work. It would start, but the window would close after less than a second. From the command line, the only message was "Aborted". This happen both on my laptop (i586) and desktop (x86_64). I'm not sure what has changed in the last week or two to cause this. I haven't touched skype or its settings in that time. rpm -q skype skype-2.1.0.47-suse111.i586 which is the latest version available. I've searched on the web, but found no real hints, other than to try export XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 which didn't help. I've tried removing the ~/.skype, but that did not help either.
