Hello Charles, Well check your samba.conf use man samba.conf as your reference. For the share that holds the database: set oplocks to false for that share fake oplocks and oplocks level2 should be disabled kernel oplocks enabled (does this function already in 2.4.x?) locking=yes "max connections" should be high, sometimes software can make multiple connections to a database. "ole locking compatibility" test with this one, especially if you share word, excell and access databases. Try thease, and read the help for these parameters.
