I have upgraded to version 9 of SuSE and added myself to the /etc/sudoers file.
# User privilege specification root ALL=(ALL) ALL dgs ALL=(ALL) ALL
Now when I run "sudo bash", "sudo su -", etc, as dgs, it does not accept the password for dgs, I have to type the password for root. I don't find this acceptable, as I need to give other users limited access to run jobs, and will not give them the root password. Is there something I am missing or is this a new bug? -- thanks, Danny G Smith --------------------------------------------------------- Crystallography Core Computer Manager / Sr UNIX Sys Adm --------------------------------------------------------- Crystallography Dept Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation phone(405)271-8954 fax(405)271-7953 dept(405)271-1672 ========================================================= UNIX air conditioned environment, keep the windows closed
