After a disastrous attempt to install the Crossover plugin, which left me with Netscape, Opera and
Konq all segfaulting, I am trying to patch my system back together to some semblance of sanity.
The original Konqueror 2.2.2 I had seemed to be able to play MPEGs with an embedded viewer.
Can anyone tell me what the default settings should be for stuff like video/mpeg in the File
Associations part of Konq (including what should go in the Embedded section)?
At the moment it's using Netscape Plugin Viewer but that doesn't work at all(thanks to the
destruction wrought by the attempt to get Crossover working). Maybe I was using Plugger initially
and that was how it was able to display mpegs without launching an external viewer (ie using the
Plugger plug-in handling via Netscape Plugin Viewer).
Thanks to anyone who can shed light on what the default settings are and whether that provides
embedded mpeg support.
