Thanks, ftp link works. Still looks like the repository is not updated (last update 13-Apr-2010, for previous version of kernel). Looks like I have no choice but to use binary installer.
The 11.2 and 11.1 repositories are the same; the last update was in fact on 4/13. IIRC (at least in 11.2) in Yast/Software Management doing a kernel upgrade will invoke reinstallation of the nvidia rpm. The driver rpm's are not tied to a particular kernel version (except for the "kernel-desktop" vs "kernel-default" distinction, and the "gfx" vs "gfx01" vs "gfx02" flavors which correspond to nvidia card versions). Just use YaST or zypper to reinstall the latest rpm.
The 11.3 repositories has not been set up just yet, that always lags release data by a short while.
As far as I could see, driver has kernel-specific parts, e.g. the last one for 11.1 was nvidia-gfxG02-kmp-default-195.36.15_2.6.27.45_0.2-11.2.i586.rpm nvidia-gfxG02-kmp-pae-195.36.15_2.6.27.45_0.2-11.2.i586.rpm ... definitely for the kernel 2.6.27.45_0.2 Regards, -- Mark Goldstein -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
