What exactly does "not...working" mean? What happens when you try? Where's your Xorg.0.log people who wish to help you need to see (assuming you examined it yourself without finding pointers to your trouble)? Are you using an /etc/X11/xorg.conf file? Have _you_ modified anything in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/? If you're trying to use a widescreen display with an antique video chip, you may be out of luck getting any acceptable result.

You actually tried all 7 things there, in order? You might find success using an xorg.conf file. Several that have worked can be found at http://fm.no-ip.com/Tmp/Linux/Xorg/ bearing filenames that include 114, 11.4 and/or i###G or similar references to Intel. Some of the log files have had the xorg.conf files they were generated from prepended to them. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
