1 - change bank online password immediately Next, every credit card transaction conducted over the internet during the last 2 years should be considered potentially breached, so all credit cards / ATM cards need to be re-issued with new cards.
What about PINs? Do they need to be changed? I don't know.
I do not know how things work were you live, but here all internet bank transactions that involve any sort of cash movement (even between your own products) require two step verification, sometimes even 3 step. (it is quite a pain in the ass, indeed) Single-use credit card numbers are also being promoted, PIN is mandatory with any transaction with the physical card..not to mention new plastic with security chip is slowly getting introduced. Also banks are not known for staying on top of technology, in fact quite the opposite, they are in an state of fossilization..I doubt many run reasonable updated openSSL versions that contain the vulnerability. -- Cristian "I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody." -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
