Mozilla 1.0 on SuSE ftp but not YOU?

Why is the Mozilla 1.0 build in rpm format available on the SuSE ftp site but not shown in the updated items list with YOU? Do packages often appear on the ftp site before they can be update with YOU? Are they on the ftp site for testing purposes only? Sorry for all the questions...this is my first experience with SuSE.
