Hi,
I've been trying to build my own version of the 2.2.16 kernel but seem to be running into a problem. first the kernel goes in to a panic and stops and then when I try to reboot i get a CMOS error "cmos checksum error'. Is it possible that the kernel is trying to tinker with the cmos? Anyway I've done numerous kernel compiles, but this is the first time I've experienced this sort of thing. Can someone give me a hand?
