openSUSE can boot uefi or bios with the very same install, provided you have the good GRUB, that is GRUB for BIOS and GRUB_EFI for uefi. Whatever partitioning system you use (GPT or msdos don't matter). Don't ask me what GRUB do, it's magic for me :-))
