After upgrading to KDE2.2, I find that I can't run the aRts server as "user" and still get sound for normal KDE functions, startup, windows, etc., but have no problem with it as "root"? What is the difference, what setting don't I have correct? I usually get the error of can't open or mount /dev/dsp, busy? If I disable aRts, I have no problems with any sounds. What gives? What am I missing? end of line Tracer -- ---KMail 1.3--- SuSE Linux v7.2--- Registered Linux User #225206 /tracerb@sprintmail.com/ *Magic Page Products* *Team Amiga* http://home.sprintmail.com/~tracerb
